High School Activities for 2018-2019

Beginning Saturday October 6, 2018

High School students may participate in a review of the text

Aristotle for Everybody: Difficult Thought made Easy

by Mortimer Adler.

The work has been described as

an "introduction to common sense" for young people of any age.

In a nutshell, the book considers the observable traits

that define us as human beings:

man the Philosophical Animal; the Maker; the Doer and the Knower. And concludes with the radical idea that

self-knowledge and careful observation of the world

can lead us to God.

The class is being offered by Erik Ellis, a PhD candidate

at Notre Dame with years of pre-college teaching experience.
